All powers of attorney should also be signed in front of 2 independent witnesses
(not relatives) whose names should figure on the power of attorney itself
along with:
Their place and date of birth
Their address and telephone no.
All powers of attorney must be legalized by the notary public, signed by the
county clerk, and authenticated by the Secretary of State.
All general powers of attorney and powers of attorney involving sale should be
done in a lawyer's office.
Witnesses should submit a copy of their passport or a photo I.D.
Enclose the original and photocopies of the power of attorney.
FEE: We only accept money orders payable to the Consulate General of Lebanon.
All personal checks will be returned.
General power of attorney : $50.00 (for EACH signature)
Special power of attorney : $25.00 (for EACH signature)

The Will should be:
- Notarized by the Notary Public
- Authentificated by the Secretary of State
- Notarized by the Department of State
Please be advised
that the heir(s) or his(their) representative(s) should submit to the Consulate
within ninety days from the date of death, a written statement including the
following information:
- The name and address of the heirs or beneficiary(s)
- The name and address of the donor
- A full description of the wealth inherited including its real value
and the location if applicable
Note: Please provide 1 copy of each original
document you send.
Note: If the applicant fails to submit the above described statement
within ninety days from the date of death, the applicant will be subject to an
extra charge of $100.00 in addition to the original fee of $50.00

School Certificate or School Transcript
- The school document to be legalized must be the original one.
- It must be signed by the Notary Public and the Secretary of State.If in New York,it must be notarized by the notary public,signed by the County Clerk,and authenticated by the Secretary of State.
- We need the copy of the passport and
copies of the driver's license as well as copies of the document to be legalized.
- The fee for legalization is $15.00 (in money order) for each document.

- Copy of a Lebanese governmental employment ID (free).
